Anita Carroll, AuD – Doctor of Audiology

Dr. Anita Carroll is a licensed and Board Certified Audiologist with over 25 years of experience in the Research Triangle area covering Durham and Chapel Hill, NC.   She offers innovative solutions to hearing problems and very personalized, compassionate audiology services for the hearing impaired. Dr. Carroll is the owner of Hearing Solutions in the Triangle, PLLC.

Dr. Carroll’s personal interest in combining advanced hearing aid technology with alternative solutions to communication problems has helped many local North Carolina hearing-impaired individuals cope with unique hearing problems. She combines cutting-edge technology with a personal evaluation and counseling to develop a solution to your hearing difficulties. This may include recommendations for communication strategies, assistive listening devices or additional hearing aid features that improve your success with hearing.

Dr. Carroll believes that providing mobile audiological care in addition to clinical services is an important community service. It enhances the quality of care and follow-up services to those unable to use traditional in-office care. Typically, these are busy executives, over-committed workers, and older individuals who are unable to get transportation. She is proud of the fact that this allows her to take her time and really get to know her patients. This mobile audiology service allows her to integrate unique environments, family members and significant others into her recommendations.

Dr. Carroll earned her doctorate in Audiology from the Arizona School of Health and Sciences and her Master’s degree in Audiology from the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill.  Professional certifications include the American Academy of Audiology (AAA) and the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA) as well as professional membership in the Academy of Doctors of Audiology and the North Carolina AAA associations.  She is licensed in North Carolina for Audiology and Hearing Aid Dispensing.
