Early sign of heart disease

EARLY SIGN OF HEARING LOSS

An early sign of heart disease can be hearing loss! Early hearing loss should not be ignored as it can be one of the first, early signs of heart disease.

The ears may be the first subtle indicator for the initial stages of cardiovascular disease – even before other signs appear. The ears are so sensitive to blood flow that hearing loss is often the first early sign of heart disease.

Early heart disease can show up as early hearing loss – a result of inner ear dysfunction from poor circulation. Early abnormalities in the cardiovascular system impact the function of the inner ear structures, resulting in hearing loss. Poor blood flow damages the delicate inner ear hair cells that respond to sound and connect sounds to our brain.

If you are starting to show signs of hearing loss, schedule an appointment to have your cardiovascular system checked. And of course – get your hearing checked too!
