MAGNESIUM RICH FOODS FOR HEARING

Magnesium rich foods are important for hearing! It is important to know what it can do for your hearing.

Magnesium helps with preventing and treating hearing damage – particularly noise-induced hearing loss.  It helps treat ototoxicity and sudden hearing loss damage to the ear. It protects the inner ear from  damaging free radicals.

Here is list of Dr. Carroll’s favorite Magnesium rich foods for hearing.  I try to eat at least 1 Magnesium rich food each day for my hearing.  Find a Magnesium rich food that you enjoy!

Pumpkin seeds:  46% of RDI in a quarter cup

Spinach:  39% of RDI in 1 cup

Dark Chocolate (70% cocoa):  30% of RDI in 3.5 ounces

Beans & Lentils:  30% of RDI in 1 cup

Nuts: Almonds, Cashews & Brazil nuts are particularly high in Magnesium:  25% of RDI in a quarter cup

Salmon & Halibut:  19% of RDI in 3.5 ounces

Avocado:  15% of RDI in 1 medium avocado
