What? Hearing Aids Help Families Too!

Who knew that hearing aids help families?  Here’s how:

Hearing emotions is important.  It affects everyone.  Even with my own family I see poor interactions because of misheard or mis-interpreted comments.  Who else has seen this in their family? Consider your hearing wellness and how it affects your family.

Have you ever thought about the EMOTIONAL aspects of hearing?  Many don’t!

One of the first benefits of a hearing aid is the impact on the spouse and family.  Can you guess why?  Think about how interconnected hearing and emotions are . . .

  • Hearing the emotions in intimate moments and tender “sweet nothings” that could have been missed.
  • Arguments between family members about simple things because tone of voice was missed.
  • Missing the sarcasm, teasing, surprise or anger in someone’s voice – it changes the message and creates serious misunderstandings.

Hearing well bring spontaneity back into the family again!  We get to chatter about incidental things because we’re heard.  Hearing aid success allows for more “side chatter” and “fluff stuff” instead of only being told important stuff.

Hearing aids change the “irritation factor” and negative tone after the third repetition . . . and the silence that results.

The emotional connection returns.  Hearing aids allow you to hear emotions in their voice. You can hear their delight, irritability and teasing again in their voices.  It’s not just hearing the words that are missed – we forget about hearing the emotional overtones in voices.

Hearing aids help family connect again! Hearing these emotions and responding APPROPRIATELY is what our family “connections” and relationships are built upon.

Hearing wellness will have a ripple effect on your life and relationships! Make hearing a priority and you will see improved relationships and less stress.
